Hillcrest names new director, assistant director of nursing

McCOOK, Neb. — Hillcrest "A Caring Center,” along with the Board of Directors, Rural Health Development President Ron Ross and RHD Nursing Consultant Sue Booe has announced that Tammi Simpson, the assistant director of nursing, has been promoted to the Director of Nursing and Joe Benson has been promoted to the Assistant Director of Nursing.

Simpson has worked for Hillcrest for almost three years and has many years of nursing management, including director of nursing at another location. She’s been an important factor in the positive movement that Hillcrest has experienced, said Brad Cheek, Hillcrest administrator.

Joe Benson has worked for Hillcrest for almost three years as the Infection Control Nurse. Benson also performs many other duties vital to the successful operation of Hillcrest, Cheek said.

“Together they will provide a level of experience, vision, and professionalism that Hillcrest believes will be a successful partnership to steer us into the changing future of long term care,” Cheek said. “That, in conjunction with a dynamic management team and work force, is a great recipe for continued success for Hillcrest "A Caring Center."
