Tiger girls stop Chase, rally to reach 11-0

IMPERIAL, Neb. — Chase County’s halftime lead over Dundy County-Stratton only showed why these Tigers are the area’s only unbeaten basketball varsity team.
The DC-S girls answered with a 31-11 second half and never looked back during their 56-38 win over a tough Longhorn squad.
Senior Adalene Krutsinger (19 points) and Grace Frederick (16) were their usual dominating duo — in fact, Krutsinger only missed two of her 11 shot attempts.
Sophomore McKinzie Baney netted another 13 points for a Tiger team that shot almost 50 percent overall (24 for 49).
Chase County provided only the third game for DC-S that’s been decided by less than 20 points.
Sophomore Maggie Lutz (seven points) and junoir Sable Lambley (one) put the final touches on another strong road win.
Frederick also took down 12 rebounds while Krutsinger deflected four Longhorn shots.
No Chase County stats were obtained.
Lambley delivered six assists without a turnover. Baney and Frederick made three steals apiece.
