McCOOK, Neb. — McCook High’s tennis boys mixed in plenty of academic honors besides dominating the Greater Nebraska Activities Conference team.

No. 1 singles player Zion Moyer and Class B top five state medalwinner Logan Barenberg both earned Academic All-State.

Nick Wolvin and jOel Gray joined the duo on this year’s GNAC All-Academic Team.

All six Bison varsity players earned All-State honorable mention after finishing 10th among all Class B state tournament teams.

Seniors Syd Wier, Caden Borttner, sophomore Mason Michaelis, freshman Isaac Hinze, Moyer and Barenberg garnered this recognition.

Hinze joined Barenberg in placing fifth at Class B state No. 2 doubles.

The same six were all named GNAC first team after sweeping through last month’s league tournament.
