Raiders rumble through Maxwell, 52-16
CURTIS, Neb. — Quarterback Sam Heapy topped 100 yards rushing and passing with four touchdowns in Medicine Valley’s 52-16 win over Maxwell Friday night.
The Raiders (3-1) shook off an early 8-6 deficit after Brett Riggs rumbled 66 yards and Delano Hernandez added a two-point run.
Dylan Davis’ two-yard run ignited a string of 46 straight Med Valley points.
Heapy ran for two then went 20 yards to the next Raider TD. Davis delivered the two points as it became 22-8.
Reid Stout’s three-yard TD and another Heapy PAT ws followed by the two switching roles again.
A Heapy three-yard run and two points from Stout finished 38-8 first half.
Heapy ran three, 18 yards and threw 34 to Quade Potter for the second-half Raider touchdowns.
Overall, Heapy totaled 131 pass yards on seven-of-10 completions.
He averaged more than seven yards per rush, gaining 109 on 14 totes.
Stout caught a Raider-high four passes covering 43 yards in this big home win.
