McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook freshman team goes to 2-2 on the season with a 34-14 loss to Kearney Thursday.

Coach Bill Ramsay provided these remarks about the Bison:

“Offensively, we had a hard time moving the ball consistently, we had a hard time with the pressure they brought up front.

We got on the scoreboard with a couple of good drives late in the game.

Defensively, once we settled down I thought we played a pretty good game. We did a better job of gang tackling the ball, and being in position to make a good play.”

The Bison continued battling despite falling behind 34-0.

They scored the game’s final two touchdowns.

Cole Cappel connected with Cole Thomas on a 25-yard touchdown pass.

Cappel then found Hunter Hansen for the two-point conversion.

Dillan Paschal ran three yards to McCook’s other TD. The PAT attempt failed.

The Bison return to action at Lexington on Thursday. Watch for results next week.
