Preparing to play pickleball
Thursday, June 7, 2018

Volunteers descended on Russell Park to make it possible to play pickleball on the basketball court. Portable nets can be placed when a pickleball match is underway, and removed to clear the way for basketball the rest of the time. Pickleball is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, and the new courts, created with the permission of the City of McCook and donors of the park, will expand local opportunities formerly restricted to the YMCA.
