NORTON, Kan. — Henry F. Edgett, 95, of Norton, Kan., died Friday (May 18, 2018), at the Andbe Home of Norton.

He was born May 16, 1923, southwest of Densmore, Kan., in Norton County to Grover and Rosa (Glennemeier) Edgett. He graduated from Edmond Rural High School in 1941. He married Elenora Krizek on April 27, 1963, in Jennings, where they made their home most of their married life. He farmed and also worked for N. L. Johnson Grain Co. in Jennings, Bartlett Grain Co. and St. Joseph Feed and Supply in Plainville and Decatur County Co-op in Jennings. After retiring from the Co-op in 1985, he worked for Home Oil and Gas Co. in Jennings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Rosa Edgett; wife, Eleanora Edgett; sons, Nevin and Edde Edgett; daughter, Diane Stutterheim; four brothers, Floyd, Leonard, Louis and Joseph Edgett; and sister, Alberta Metheny.

Survivors include daughter, Nyla Gebhard (Craig) of Long Island, Kan.; stepchildren, Michael McCarbrey (Joon) of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Diana McCarbrey of Wichita; brother, Norman Edgett (Bernice) of Plainville; sister, Cecilia Metheny of McPherson; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation was today at Jennings United Methodist Church in Jennings. Services were also today at the Jennings United Methodist Church in Jennings with Rev. Ed Woods officiating. Burial folowed in the Big Timber Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.paulsfh.com.
