Tin Caps survive Pump Storm at Felling

cCOOK, Neb. — Both teams were strong on the mound Wednesday, but the B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps defeated the Bradley Machine and Pump Storm 3-2.

The B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps pitchers allowed just one hit to the Bradley Machine and Pump Storm.

Bradley Machine and Pump Storm got on the board in the first inning when Oliver Corbett grounded out, scoring one run.

Tristan Campbell got the start for the B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps. He allowed zero hits and two runs over two innings, striking out four.

Corbett led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Bradley Machine and Pump Storm. He surrendered three runs on two hits over three innings, striking out eight. Aiden Lauer threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Benjamin Fries and Campbell all had one hit to lead the B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps. B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps didn’t commit a single error in the field.

Wyatt Benes had five chances in the field, the most on the team.

Benes led the B Street Auto Spa Tin Caps with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.

Gunner Kaps went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Bradley Machine and Pump Storm in hits. Bradley Machine and Pump Storm stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one.

Gunner Carlisle led the way with four.

Bradley Machine and Pump Storm was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Carlisle had the most chances in the field with 10.

Blue Rocks

The R & S Water Well Muckdogs had trouble keeping up with the Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks in a 9-1 loss on Wednesday.

In the first inning, the R & S Water Well Muckdogs got their offense started when Gabe Roberts doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks scored seven runs in the fifth inning.

The Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks’ big inning was driven by a walk by Dorian Bussard, a single by Lee Davidson, and a double by Kaden Wilhelmson.

Jude Schmick got the start for the Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks.

He allowed two hits and one run over two and a third innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Roberts started the game for the R & S Water Well Muckdogs. He went three and a third innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out nine. Brenden Hedrick threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Reese Gillespie and Roberts each managed one hit to lead the R & S Water Well Muckdogs.

The Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

Schmick had the most chances in the field with three.
