Public Transit Week

Lt. Gov. Mike Foley, above, honored Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers members and representatives March 5 in Lincoln. They and officials like McCook dispatcher Donna Blake, left, and driver Bob Allen Driver, plus substutute driver Eldon Parde and Beth Siegfried, transit manager, were honored the second week of April for Public Transit Week in the state of Nebraska. A number of special events took place including free rides, a tour of the new bus, an open house and a Stuff the Bus for local charities. The city is still looking for input to help assess the transit needs of the community, such a whether there is a need for extended hours or weekend hours.
