MEDC honors directors, reports on activities

McCOOK, Neb. — Two housing complexes managed by the McCook Economic Development Corp. are full with waiting lists, and $170,000 from city sales tax revenue was recently paid toward the Keystone Business Center loan, the group’s manager said Thursday evening.
Speaking at the MEDC’s annual meeting at the Keystone, Andrew Ambriz, executive director, said both Quillan Courts for low income, and Clary Village, for senior citizens, are at more than capacity.
He credited Administrative Assistant Angela Allen, with 21 years on the job, with much of the success.

“She is really the savior of this group,” Ambriz said.
Ambriz recognized outgoing directors Brian Vasa of NPPD and Dale Dueland for their support of economic development, and welcomed new directors Kim Schilling, ag producer, Dan Burns of Valmont and Bett Schmidt of Weathercraft.
