HASTINGS, Neb. — Kody Collin Metzger, 31, of Hastings, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2018), at his home.

He was born on Oct. 4, 1986, at Cambridge, Neb., to Kent W. and Judy (Hilker) Metzger. He graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2005. He attended Hastings Community College. Since August of 2006, he has worked as shop foreman for L & H Manufacturing in Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kent Metzger; grandparents, Myron Hilker, John and Lily Metzger, and step-grandmother, Irene Metzger Young.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Metzger of Arapahoe, Neb.; brothers, Kory Metzger and Jennifer McKintrick of Lincoln, Neb., Kelly and wife, Sheila Metzger of Stamford, Neb.; sister, Kimberly and husband, Josh Long of Norfolk, Neb.; and grandmother, Joyce Hilker of Cambridge.

There will be no viewing or visitation. Services were today, Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Neb., with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Inurnment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com.
