Tiger teams tear up Wallace

WALLACE, Neb. — With a combined 50-10 second quarter, Dundy County-Stratton swept two games from the Wallace Wildcats Tuesday.

The Tiger boys fell behind five points through one quarter, but a 26-7 second fueled their 68-59 triumph.

Junior Jacob Gemborys’ 14 points was only one of four who reached double figures.

Sophomore Michael Frederick tossed in 12 points while senior Nate Auffet and freshman Serbando Diaz added 11.

Seniors Phalen Sanford (nine points) and Guillermo Diaz (eight) nearly put six in doubles.

Meanwhile, the DC-S girls are now 13-1 thanks to their 72-29 conquest of Wallace.

A 24-3 second quarter made it 40-12 by halftime.

No individual stats were obtained.

The Tigers now start their quest to repeat as RPAC champs.
