McCOOK, Neb. — A Bartley woman was sentenced to 3-5 years in state prison last week in Red Willow County District Court. The woman, 41-year-old Wendy D. Ulmer, accepted a plea agreement in September admitting guilt to a Class 2A felony for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

The plea agreement reduced the charge from a Class 2 felony alleging the offense occurred within 1000 feet of a school or playground, in addition to dismissing three other offenses. The dismissed charges included a Class IV felony alleging possession of meth; a Class 3A felony alleging intentional child abuse; and an infraction alleging possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ulmer was arrested by Red Willow County Sheriff’s Deputies following a probation search of her residence in August. The search stemmed from complaints about the amount of traffic coming and going from her trailer, according to court documents.

The child abuse allegation stemmed from Ulmer selling drugs from her home where a baby and teenager were also living, according to the arresting officer.
