City to sell old hangars

Friday, October 6, 2017

McCOOK, Neb. — The City of McCook is auctioning off an 8-plex hangar and five individual T-hangars in the coming weeks. The public auction is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. at McCook Ben Nelson Regional Airport.

The nested 8-plex is 30 feet by 250 feet in size, with 12 foot by 40-foot doors. The five individual T-hangars have 9 foot by 20-foot doors.

Following the auction, purchasers must remove the hangars from the airport by no later than Nov. 7, 2017, according to a press release.

The older structures are being sold to make way for a new hangar that will be significantly larger than anything available at the airport now. City Council approved the Red Willow Aviation construction plan and property lease last month.
