Jessica Kuhr and Matthew Fritz of Lincoln, Neb., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Karen and Gary Kuhr of Platte Center, Neb. Grandparents are Jane and Ferd Dohmen of Monroe, Neb.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Zona and Ronald Fritz of McCook, Neb.

The bride-to-be graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa with a bachelor of science in nursing. She is a cardiac ICU nurse at Bryan Medical Center.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering.

An Oct. 14, 2017, wedding is planned at Zion Lutheran Church Grand Prairie in Platte Center.
