MCC camps, tournaments draw closer

McCOOK, Neb. — Summer volleyball camps and several more tournaments are on the horizon at McCook Community College.

A “Basic Skills” starts the camping on June 12. It’s open to all from kindergarten through fifth grade with fee being $35 per player.

“All Skills” Camps follows on June 13-14 for those entering grades six through nine. Fee will be $50.

The learning curve rises again with “Advanced Skills” camp taking place three days: June 14-16. Fee will be $85 and open to all high school-age players entering ninth through 12th grade.

Finally, “Back To Boot Camp” will cap the summer schedule on August 3-4 at MCC’s Peter & Dolores Graff Events Center. Fee is set at $50.

“Back To Boot Camp” is open to all entering grades seven though 12.

The MCC tournament schedule tipped off with Saturday terrific 4-0n-4 tournament featured above. A field of 14 teams competed for the two division championships.

Another 4-on-4 Women’s tournament set for June 18 will feature age divisions for 19-and-under or 20-and-above. Entry fee will be $80 per team.

A 6-on-6 Women’s Open tournament has been set for August 5. Team fee will be $120.

MCC isn’t forgetting the other gender as a 4-on-4 Men’s Open tourney takes place on August. 6. Entry fee will be $80.

Another pair of tournaments will carry into fall. The 6-0n-6 Coed Open will be Sept. 23 ($120 fee) and 4-on-4 Women’s Open set for Sept. 24 ($80 fee).
