Indians going to Montana
Leaving the snow for a showdown with Devil's Lake?
That will be part of the McCook Community College women's basketball weekend. Montana might not the best destination for escaping this fall's first light snow, but the main McCook focus will only be on reheating their winning momentum.
The Lady Indians (2-3 record) suffered three tough defeats during their MCC Invitational last weekend.
Now they take on Williston State, N.D., College at 1 p.m. today and play the same tip time Saturday against Lake Region State College from Devils Lake.
Before you think Devils Lake sounds warm, remember it is based in North Dakota.
Brrr. Cold shooting cost the Indians last weekend, especially Friday night when they hit just 38 percent of their field goals and 14 percent from three-point range against Northwest Kansas Tech.
They shot better than 40 percent against both Western Wyoming and Miles (Mont.) Community College yet still dropped both contests.
A quick rundown of Indian leaders through all three games:
NW Tech 101, McCook 67
McCOOK, Neb. -- Freshman Colby Cox's 12 points paced the Indians as she hit a pair of three-point shots. Erica Peet was the only other Indian double-digit scorer (10 points).

Watson did swipe five steals to help the Indians stay within striking range. They weren't able to overcome a 23-14 deficit through one quarter.
Miles 72, McCook 69
