Jessica Ann Carfield, formerly of McCook but now of Lincoln, Neb., and Travis Cole Rotter, formerly of Palisade, Neb., also of Lincoln, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the bride-to-be are David and Christine Carfield of McCook. Grandparents are Gene and Carol Liess of McCook, the late Edwin Carfield and DeWayne and Jan Goodenberger of McCook.
Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Matthew Rotter and Raymond and Lisa Kisinger of Palisade. Grandparents are William "Ben" Rotter of Desdemona, Texas, Shirley Rotter of Madison, Neb., and the late Robert and Betty Carey.
The bride-to-be graduated from McCook High School in 2005. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she graduated with her bachelors degree in nursing in May of 2009. She works as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln in the orthopedic unit.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Wauneta-Palisade High School in 2005. He works as a supervisor for Neeman and Sons roofing in Lincoln, where he has worked for the past six years.
An Oct. 1, 2016, wedding is planned in McCook.
The couple will reside at their home in Lincoln with their daughter, Hazel, and plan to take a honeymoon in the Bahamas in January.
