Yanks, Royals advance in Majors Division Tournament

Here is a recap of Day 1 of the Majors Division Tournament:
Game 1
#4 Bortner Pioneer Seed Yankees 2

#5 O'Brien Electric Inc Royals 1
There were only four total hits in this low scoring affair that featured a late game rally which propelled the Yankees to a first round win over the Royals.
The Yanks entered the bottom of the 4th inning down 0-1 on the scoreboard. Yankee Cameron Werkmeister led off the inning with a single. A Nate Reiners walk followed. Conner Snyder then singled both runners in giving his team a 2-1 lead. Werkmeister then took the hill in the top of the 5th and shut the door on the Royals as he recorded three consecutive strikeouts giving his Yanks the victory. Evan Humphrey shined on the mound for the Royals striking out four and not allowing any runs during his two innings of work.
Game 2
#3 Gatorade Mets 6
#6 Tequila's Mexican Grill Rays 2
A four run Gatorade Mets rally in the third inning boosted the #3 seed to a 6-0 lead and eventually a 6-2 win over the Tequila's Mexican Grill Rays. Keynan Gaston, Eli Kehler and Jarett Walter all collected hits during the four run frame. The Mets pitching also shined as the teams' staff stuck out 11 batters and only gave up two runs off of three hits during the contest.
The Rays Taylor Jacobs collected two of his teams three hits as he went 2-2 at the plate collecting a single and a double.
Bortner Pioneer Seed Yankees face Stevens Farms Rockies at 5:30 today in Game 3 and Gatorade Mets face First Central Bank Cardinals at 7 p.m. in Game 4.
