Dedication

American Legion Department of Nebraska Senior Vice Commander Beth Linn of Scottsbluff speaks during the dedication on Memorial Day, Monday, of the new Veterans Memorial Monument in City Park in Curtis, Nebraska. "All gave some, some gave all and some continue to give," Linn said, pointing out World War II veterans Bob Furrow, Ward Schick and Virgil Towne, seated in places of honor for the dedication. Liz Nielsen, a recruiter for the Nebraska Army National Guard in North Platte, told those gathered for the dedication, "We in this country owe a great debt of gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives so that we could live free. We can start to pay that debt by not forgetting ... by remembering what they did and what they stood for."
