Community Hospital welcomes New Years Baby

McCook, Neb.--Community Hospital's New Year's baby was a little miss named Ellisyn Ann Marvier born on Sunday evening. Her parents, James and Chelyn Marvier from McCook, and their 4-year-old daughter, Paisley, welcomed Ellisyn on Jan. 3 at 10:08 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19½ inches long.
Delivering the baby was McCook Clinic family physician, Lori Reece, M.D.
The Marviers said they were surprised they had Community Hospital's New Year's baby since so many other families have babies due around this time. The Marviers were actually due on Jan. 8 and had a C-section scheduled on Jan. 4, but Ellisyn decided to choose her own birthday and came a day earlier.
"The entire hospital staff has been phenomenal during our stay," the new parents said. "We felt very welcome and very well taken care and we are very grateful."
They received a gift basket from the Community Hospital Garden View Gift Shop, along with a gift certificate for a Community Hospital massage.
