ARAPAHOE,Neb. -- Elmyra Irmgard Wolf, age 85, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at her home.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1930, south of Elwood, Nebraska, in the Salem community to Frank and Josephine (Heny) Jorges. She was baptized on Nov. 16, 1930, at Salem Lutheran Church. Elmyra attended Salem County School through the eighth grade.
She married Donald C. Wolf on March 14, 1948. He preceded her in death in September 1996. To this marriage three daughters were born; Susan, Kathy and Debra.
Elmyra and Don purchased Schroeder Cleaners and owned Wolf Floral for about 16 years in Arapahoe. They were known for the annual special "Christmas Tea" in December and the floats for the local parades. Elmyra also flocked Christmas trees as a special activity at Wolf Floral for many years. Her work was definitely a pleasure.
She was known around the area for her wedding cakes and catering services. She had finesse for coordinating and designing every project she was involved with. All was done to countless hours of quilting she did for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each one was "special" by design and all were created with "love." She was an avid seamstress. She was a hard worker and loved to garden and tend to her beautiful flowers in her yard, her passion
We all have memories of her "orange van" and many years of delivering flowers and cakes, her pride and joy.
Elmyra was known for her homemade pies, desserts, casseroles, and anything that came from her kitchen was homemade and made with love. She taught Sunday school, was a 4-H leader and gave ceramic lessons for several years. Elmyra enjoyed Hobby Club in her earlier years of life. Elmyra was an honorary member of the FFA and Republican Valley Pheasants Forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; one sister, Nora June Lehmann and husband, Sherman; four brothers, Kenneth Schutz and wife, Ardeth, Robert Schutz and wife, Esther, Paul Schutz and his wife, Harriett and Ted Schutz and wife, Janet.
She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Susan Wolf of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Kathy Leggott (Jim) of Plymouth, Minnesota; Debra Breinig (Doug) of Cambridge, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Tori (Tim) Hamill of Aurora, Colorado; Trey (Stephanie) Horton of Castle Rock, Colorado; Tracia (Cedric) Hawkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Talana (Jeff) Howard of Ridgecrest, California; Jared (Megan) Breinig of Johnstown, Colorado; Paige (Derek) McConville of Lexington, Nebraska; Lyndsay Leggott of Plymouth, Minnesota and J.D. Leggott of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

There will be no viewing or visitation. Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor Ken Breinig, officiating.
Wenburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
