Kenzie May, a 2014 graduate of Southwest High School in Bartley, Nebraska, won the 2015 "Ronnie Gustafson Inspiration Award," presented during the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame induction and awards ceremony, Oct. 4 in Lincoln. Kenzie, the daughter of Kimmie and Brent May of Indianola, was born without a right hand and forearm, yet played volleyball and basketball throughout school. She earned all-state honors in volleyball and won three high jump medals at state track meets. Kenzie was named "Most Valuable Teammate" at the Nebraska Coaches Association all-star volleyball game. She plays volleyball and competes in track on an athletic scholarship at Chadron State College.
