AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Clara Ruby Dake, 89, passed away Thursday (Sept. 24, 2015), in Avondale.

She was born to Charles and Ruth Hall on May 25, 1926. She graduate from Trenton High School. She was married to Dale Dake for 52 years, before he passed away.

She was 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star, a retired cosmetologist and business owner, police dispatcher, World War II ordinance supervisor, survivor of the Great Depression, avid quilter, Cub Scout den mother, 4-H leader and Girl Scout leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Dake; parents, Charles and Ruth Hall; brothers, James, Mac and Delbert; and sisters, Queta and Icela.

Survivors include children, Patricia McKinney, Linda Snider, John Dake and Cindy Barela; brothers, Bill, John, Robert and Richard; sisters, Twyla, Ada, Ramona, Barbara, Wenda and Sondra; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were today, Monday Sept. 28, 2015, in Peoria, Arizona.

Memorial services will be Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus, Nebraska, with interment to follow at Circle Mound Cemetery in Rising City, Nebraska.
