McCOOK, Neb. -- Becken Russell Holthus, infant son of Jeff and Caitlin Holthus, passed away Sept. 7, 2015, at Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born on Aug. 11, 2015, in McCook to Jeffrey Russell and Caitlin Diane (Bos) Holthus.

Becken is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Caitlin Holthus of McCook; paternal grandparents, Greg and Pati Holthus of McCook; maternal grandparents, John and Shelley Evans and Galen and Terri Bos, all of Omaha, Nebraska; great-grandmothers, Jenny Friend and Dorothy Bos, both of Omaha and Norma Dee Holthus of Atwood, Kansas; aunts and uncles, Erin Bos (Matt Levy) of Denver, Colorado, Tiffany (Cortney) Toews of Omaha, Stacey (Steve) Tweedy of Phoenix, Arizona, Jeremy Zink, Michael (Jess) Bos and Kimberly Holthus (David Olson), all of Omaha; as well as cousins Gavin Toews and Layla, Jameson and Cruz Tweedy.

Preceding Becken in death are his paternal great-grandparents, Everett Holthus and Earl and Bertha Brown; and maternal great-grandparents Robert Bos, Joseph Friend and Don and Betty Evans.

Visitation was today from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

Funeral services were today, Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the McCook Christian Church with Pastors Clark Bates and Kyle Dellevoet officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, also located in McCook.
