Deanna May (McChesney) Miller

Nov. 20, 1951 - July 31, 2015

ARAPAHOE, Neb. -- Deanna May (McChesney) Miller, 63, was born in Norton, Kansas, to Harold and Helen (Ridpath) McChesney on Nov. 20, 1951, and passed away July 31, 2015, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She attended school in Lebanon and Danbury and graduated from Beaver Valley High School in 1970. After graduation, she attended the McCook Beauty Academy and owned her own beauty shop for several years in the Lebanon-Danbury area.

She married Ronald Miller in 2002 and they made their home in Arapahoe. She worked at Arapahoe and Beaver City nursing home for several years, until her health failed.

She loved working outdoors in her flower and vegetable garden, but her greatest joy were her children, Justin and Melissa and her grandchildren, Sawyer, Kiera, Hunter and Delaney.

Preceding her in death were her father; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include her husband, Ron; son Justin (Cricket) Haag of Chadron, Nebraska, and grandchildren, Sawyer and Kiera; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Stewart of Lexington, Nebraska, and grandchildren, Hunter and Delaney; mother, Helen McChesney; sister, Melody (Daryl) Brown of Cambridge, brothers, Robert (Karen) McChesney of Mansfield, Texas, and Richard (Jimi) McChesney of Safford, Arizona; step-daughter, Amy and two step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
