Accidents

JAN. 17, 2015:

10 a.m., alley behind 607 W. Fifth Street -- a parked pickup owned by Larry D. Hamm, age unavailable, Ames, Iowa, was reportedly struck by an unknown vehicle causing an estimated $3,000 in damage. Hamm parked the vehicle in the alley at 9 p.m. on Jan. 16; noticed the damage at 10 a.m. on Jan. 17; and reported the incident to the police department at 10:24 a.m. on Jan. 19.

JAN. 19, 2105:

1:00 p.m., 400 block of Missouri Avenue Circle -- an SUV owned by Hollie M. Lorimer, age unavailable, 709 E. Sixth Street, was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked on Missouri Avenue Circle. The impact caused an estimated $900 in damage. Lorimer reported noticing the damage at 1p.m. on Jan. 20, 2015, and immediately reported it to the police department.

JAN. 21, 2015:

2:29 p.m., 500 block of W. Seventh Street -- a vehicle driven by Mia Green, 18, 702 W. Fourth Street, while exiting a parking space struck a parked vehicle owned by Chad M. Lyons, age unavailable, 1201 W. Second Street. The impact caused an estimated $1,000 in combined vehicle damage.

Jan, 23, 2015:

5:45 p.m., a pickup driven by Abby G. Enigh, 42, Oberlin, Kansas, struck a pole in the Alco Discount Store parking lot causing an estimated $3,800 in vehicle damage and $300 in property damage.
