Charles H. Reese

TRENTON, Neb. -- Charles H. Reese, age 84, of Trenton, died at the Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska, on Nov. 26, 2014.

He was born in North Platte, Nebraska, to Henry P. and Alice L. (Erickson) Reese. Charles' mother died during childbirth.

Charles and his father moved to Trenton where he grew up. After his father's death, Charles lived in Trenton until the early 1970s, when he was made a ward of the State of Nebraska and Tom Buresh was appointed to be his conservator. Charles was one of the first residents to be in the SWATS program. He lived in independent living dorms.

While living in McCook, Charles attended the Peace Lutheran Church. In 1999, due to health concerns, Charles moved to the El Dorado Manor in Trenton and has been a resident there receiving excellent care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alice

Charles is survived by his conservator of 38 years, Tom Buresh.

Graveside services will be at the Hayes Center Cemetery on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Friends may leave on-line condolences at Herrmannfh.com.

Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorials for Charles may be addressed to either the El Dorado Manor or SWATS of McCook.
