Weedin, Gonzales, McDowell for City Council

McCOOK, Neb. - Challenger Gene Weedin received the most votes of the four candidates vying for three seats on the McCook City Council, according to unofficial results from the Red Willow County Clerk's office.

Weedin received 1,616 votes. Incumbent Mike Gonzales received 1,463 and incumbent Bruce McDowell solidified the third seat with 1,372.

Challenger Lonnie Anderson received 985.

The unofficial results do not include 27 provisional ballots the canvas board will count on Thursday.
