BAZINE, Kansas -- Douglas Ray Harris, 58, died Wednesday (Aug. 27. 2014), at Ness City, Kansas.

He was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Alma, Nebraska, to Donald and Irmadene "Dene" (Johnston) Harris. He attended Oberlin Elementary, Decatur Community High School, Colby Community College and Fort Hays State University. He married Eileen Guifoyle on Sept. 1, 1979, in Colby, Kansas. He hauled oil for Swift Services. He was a member of Lavant United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents, Donald Harris and Irmadene "Dene" (Johnston) Harris; son, Jordan Douglas Harris; brother, Daniel Harris; and cousin, John Keenan.

Survivors include daughter, Angie Marie Harris of Colby, Kansas; sisters, Darcel Roberts and husband, John of Lincoln, Nebraska; special frien,: Peggy of Ellis, Kansas; cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts and friends

Services are Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at Oberlin United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Burkhardt officiating.
