Commissioners to discuss Calabria grading issue
McCOOK, Neb. -- Road grading in the Calabria Subdivision northeast of McCook, Nebraska, continues to be a topic of discussion for Red Willow County commissioners and the county's highway superintendent.
The subject comes up before commissioners and roads superintendent Gary Dicenta at the commissioners' weekly meeting Monday, on the third floor of the courthouse in McCook. The meeting, always open to the public, begins at 9 a.m.; the Calabria subject is scheduled at 10:15 a.m.
Commissioners and Calabria residents have discussed the road improvement project for several months now.
Other agenda items are:
* 9:15 a.m. -- Andy Long, vice president of McCook Community College, a request for a county sponsorship to help fund the revised edition of the Hormel Business Plan Competition.
* 9:30 a.m. -- Adopt resolutions allocating the final levy and tax dollars for taxing subdivisions (such as fire departments and cemeteries) subject to tax levy.
* 9:45 a.m. -- Budget hearing for the fair board.
* 10:45 a.m. -- Approve ininventories for all departments.
