HAYS, Kan. -- Clyde Burnham Gleason, 85, died Saturday (July 12, 2014), at Ellis Good Samaritan in Ellis, Kansas.

He was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Cheyenne County, Kansas. He was a farmer/elevator operator.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Wade Lee, in 2007.

Survivors inclde his wife, Wilma (Powell) Gleason of Hays; children, Sandy Kuhn of Hays and Shona Gleason of Ellis; brother, Claude Gleason of Bird City, one grandchild and four great grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis, Kansas.

No visitation. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or hospice.

Knodel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
