Hall of Fame inductee

Robert Botsford, a long-time martial arts instructor in McCook, was inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts "Hall of Fame" in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 12. Botsford has been practicing martial arts since November 1975. A USDA food inspector by day, he estimates he has taught 1,400-1,500 students tae kwon do and karate since he opened his studio here in September 1998. He credits his mother, Twilla, and wife, Ester, for encouraging him to pursue his art.
