Wemhoff, Whewell married
DENVER, Colorado --Lisa Wemhoff and Matthew Whewell were united in marriage Jan. 4, 2014, by Deacon John Thunblom at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, in Denver. A dinner and dance followed the ceremony at The Lobby.
Parents of the couple are Dale and Kathy (McConville) Wemhoff of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Richard and Sheila Whewell of Bristow, Virginia.
The bride's grandparents are Marie Wemhoff of Platte Center, Nebraska, the late Edwin Wemhoff and the late LaMoine and Margaret McConville.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Richard Whewell and Sue Wills and Sandra Carney and the late James Carney.
Cheri Wemhoff, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bridgette Schram, and Nicole Whewell, sister of the bridegroom. Chris Walters was the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Patrick Whewell, brother of the bridegroom and Kyle Wemhoff, brother of the bride. Music was provided by Becky Borges and Angie Hupp.
The bride graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 2003. She earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2008. She is employed at 24 Hour Fitness as a personal trainer.
The bridegroom graduated from the University of Akron in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in sports science. He is a communications manager for the Colorado Rockies.
The couple traveled to Bali, Indonesia, for their honeymoon. They will make their home in Denver.
