McCOOK, Nebraska -- Virginia Parrish, 81, of Indianola, formerly of Cozad, Nebraska, died April 10, 2014, at Community Hospital in McCook.

She was born May 31, 1932, near Cambridge, Nebraska, to Lewis and Lila (Scott) Stapp. She attended Lucerne Valley rural school and graduated from Cozad High School in 1950. Following high school, Virginia worked at Service Drug and as clerk for the City of Cozad.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Dean; and sister, Maxine Kloepping.

Survivors include sons, Alan and wife, Liz Seaman of Lincoln, Mike and wife, Traci Seaman of Indianola, Eric and wife, Anne Seaman of Cozad; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Services were today at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with the Rev. Dean Pofahl officiating. Burial was 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery near Cambridge, Nebraska.

A memorial has been established in her name.
