Winds close roads in Northwest Kansas
OBERLIN, Kansas -- At 3:45, the Kansas Department of Transportation closed U.S. 83 from Oberlin south to the K-383 junction in Decatur County. Other roads in Northwest Kansas are currently closed:
K-27 from Goodland to the Kansas/Nebraska state line due to high winds and poor visibility.
I-70 from the Burlington to Colby.
U.S. 83 is closed in Thomas County and Sheridan County from the U.S. 24 junction to the K-383/83/23 junction -- do to an accident.
U.S. 36 Highway from Atwood west to the Colorado State line and K-27 from Goodland north to the U.S. 36 junction are also currently closed.
