McCOOK, Nebraska -- Sharon Bohling of McCook recently nominated Terry McCorkle, also of McCook, for the McCook Gazette/Linda Maiden State Farm Insurance Good Neigh-bear Award. In her nomination, Bohling wrote, "In October I went to McCorkle Motors to rent a truck. When Terry learned I wanted it to haul bicycles and parts from Superior to the Toy Box in McCook, he donated free use of his pickup. You can't ask for a better neigh-bear than that."

The McCook Toy Box was chosen as the recipient of the $50 donation that comes in honor of the award winner. The Toy Box is busy fixing up donated bicycles which will be given away at the annual event on Sunday, December 22 at McCook City Auditorium. According to bike repairman Roger Brush, approximately 135 bikes will be given away, along with donated new and gently used toys.

In addition to Brush, other volunteers who begin working on bicycles in early October includeRoger Musgrave, Tom Buresh, Jim Sailors, Darryl Brown and Pat Burns.
