IMPERIAL, Nebraska -- The City of Imperial, Nebraska, announces that videos for the "Imperial Video Contest" are available to watch online at www.youtube.com/imperialnebraska

The videos posted are competing for a grand prize of $1,000, second prize $500, and a third prize of $250. All prizes will be awarded in the form of Imperial Chamber Bucks.

The videos will be judged on the number of views they receive on youtube.com. Currently the videos have a combined view count of more than 1,100.

The contest was developed as a way to show the world what life in Imperial is like. All four videos show the children of Imperial which highlights the recent trend of young people moving into the area to raise their children.

Jason Tuller, Community Development Director, said, "I'm pleased that we received some quality entries for this contest. They all show how children enjoy growing up in Imperial."

According to Jo Leyland, city administrator, "This was an excellent opportunity for citizens to highlight what Imperial means to them. They showed why Imperial is a great place to live, work, play, and raise a family."
