Some winning scratch tickets could not be cashed
LINCOLN, Nebraska -- For a brief period of time on Monday, Sept. 9 and Tuesday, Sept. 10, some Nebraska Lottery retailers were unable to cash winning Scratch tickets. During this period, the terminal system displayed an error message whenever winning Scratch tickets were scanned for validation at these locations. The Nebraska Lottery and its system vendor quickly corrected the system error.
The system error did not affect the outcome of any Lottery game - it temporarily prevented a small number of winning tickets from being validated.
The majority of tickets that were unable to be cashed due to this error were validated later. However, approximately 58 winning tickets that were scanned on Monday and Tuesday subsequently have not been validated. These tickets contain prizes between $1 and $30.
If you have one of these tickets, they may be cashed at any Lottery retailer. Contact the Nebraska Lottery at 402-471-6100 for more information.
