Lois Tiller of McCook, a quilter and a member of the board of directors of the High Plains Historical Society, plans a quilt show, "Stitched with Love," at the Museum of the High Plains during McCook's annual Heritage Days celebration, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27, 28 and 29, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Lois asks quilters and quilt owners to share their favorite quilts -- those that are at least 50 years old -- for display at the museum, bringing them to the museum Thursday, Sept. 26, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The quilts will be displayed during Heritage Days and will then hang during the museum's regular hours, Tuesday through Saturday afternoons, through Saturday, Oct. 12. Lois holds a friendship quilt made in the 1930s by the members of the Beaver Valley Project Club of Danbury and Lebanon, and donated to the museum by Rene Creasman in February 2001.
