North Highway 83 armor coating project under way

McCOOK, Nebraska -- An armor coating project was ready to begin today north on U.S. Highway 83 from McCook to the Willow Creek Bridge.

It will be 7.83 miles long and will include milling the existing surface and applying the new surface.

Traffic control will be maintained throughout the project with a pilot vehicle and reduced speed zones in the work area.

Sta-Bilt Construction Co. of Harlan, Iowa, is the contractor.

Officials refer to the project as M-7083 McCook North Armor Coat.
