Accidents

AUG. 2, 2013:

12:06 p.m., West U.S. Highway 6 and 34 -- a tractor-trailer driven by William C. Gilmore, 42, Culbertson, Nebraska, collided with a Cadillac driven by Valaine Kester, 68, Bartley, Nebraska, while both vehicles were travelling westbound on U.S. Highway 6 and 34. The impact caused an estimated $2,600 in combined vehicle damage.

AUG. 5, 2013:

1:40 p.m., 300 block of W. First Street -- while backing from a parking space, an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Brenna Simmonds, 16, 903 East 15th Street, and fled the scene. The impact caused an estimated $750 in vehicle damage.

TUESDAY:

11:50 a.m., W. First Street -- a pickup driven by Darius Williams, 16, 1403 W. First Street, while turning north from West D onto West First Street struck a parked pickup owned by Rose Hughes, age unavailable, 71658 Road 381, causing an estimaed $1,800 in combined vehicle damage.
