A cooperative effort

Eight-year-old Joe, the girls' brother, also showed in the pre-4-H division. The three are the children of Stacy and Steve Barenberg of McCook, who farm in Dundy County. Stacy said they appreciate the generosity of the Tecker family of rural Benkelman, which owns the llamas that the Barenbergs show. "They let us work with the animals at (4-H) meetings and then show them at the fair," Stacy said.
