High schools complete HSA revision process

Tuesday, June 4, 2013

GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska -- Thirty-six central Nebraska high schools have completed the course revision process required by the Central Community College High School Articulation (HSA) program.

Through the HSA program, students who successfully complete approved high school courses won't have to retake them when they enroll at CCC. In order for the credits to count toward their degree, students must take courses that are applicable toward their planned program of study at CCC.

The revision process is required either every three years or if the high school instructor changes. The process allows the high school and CCC instructors to update their curriculum, so that the skills taught in the high school match those required by the college for a student to earn a particular degree.

Area high schools that went through the revision process:

CAMBRIDGE: The school, which offers 21 HSA credits, reviewed an accounting class.
