Anne Dowd and Andrea O'Dea sort books donated for the 2013 McCook. Nebraska, Humane Society rummage sales scheduled Tuesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 18, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 21, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., all in the 4-H Building on the Red Willow County fairgrounds in the 1500 block of West Fifth in McCook. Days that donated items can be dropped off are: Today, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.; Saturday, April 13, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.; and Monday through Thursday, April 15-18, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Fridays are "fluff and fold" days so that volunteers can organize the sales floors and donated items are not accepted. Do not drop off donated items at the shelter. The sales on Tuesday and Thursday are "bag sales" and everything (except special silent auction and raffle collectibles and antiques) that will fit into a Wal-Mart-type regular-size bag will sell for $5 plus sales tax. Volunteers are appreciated; just show up to haul and sort, fluff and fold.
