Last year, auctioneers sold colanders and potty chairs. This year, the sale bill includes a pony pedal tractor, a barn cupola and a lightning rod and ball ... among the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of other items that will be available for bidding and buying at the 40th annual Holbrook, Nebraska, Lions Club consignment sale Saturday, March 9. Six rings will run from 9:30 a.m. sharp, until everything's sold. At approximately 11:30 a.m., a hand-crafted child's tool bench will sell, the proceeds from which will go to Brantlee Juhl of Arapahoe, who is fighting leukemia. The sale is on the north side of Highway 6&34; absolutely no parking is allowed on the highway. Lunch will be available on the grounds. (Connie Jo Discoe/McCook Daily Gazette)
