Tuesday, January 29, 2013

OMAHA, Nebraska -- Nearly 950 students received degrees Saturday, Dec. 15 during the University of Nebraska at Omaha's (UNO) 2012 December Commencement ceremonies, including Tracy Marie Mullen of Maywood who earned a Master of Science degree; Bronson Kurt Gerken of Eustis who earned a Bachelor of Science degree; and Tori Ann Peters of McCook, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education.

Morning and afternoon ceremonies were held at the Sapp Fieldhouse at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and included, for the first time, two keynote speakers at each ceremony -- one undergraduate and one graduate student.

Also new this year were the inclusion of red-white-and-blue honor cords for UNO's active military and veteran students, as well as student marshals for each college.
