Forget-me-not

Registration is brisk Saturday morning for the 2012 Memory Walk at the upper shelter house in Kelley Park. While the adults filled out registration form, three young girls, from left, Brooke Evans, a fourth grader, Abigail Johnson, a second grader, and Chayse Johnson, a first grader, make a new friend. The girls had a pact to walk the entire way together and although they didn't know a lot about Alzheimer's disease, they were happy to raise money to help people who have Alzheimer's, the people that help those with Alzheimer's, and for research to end the disease that steals too many memories. Forget-me-nots line one wall of the shelter house, purchased in honor or in memory of someone lost to the disease.
