Police seek ID of driver
McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook Police Department is seeking information about the driver of a van which struck at least three vehicles, Thursday evening at about 11:30 p.m., parked on East Third Street and East I Street.
The van, a 2001 Pontiac Montana, is owned by Jerome F. Yost of 402 Missouri Ave Circle and was reported stolen by 37-year-old Lirin T. Yost of 807 E. Third Street the day following the collisions.
According to the accident report the van was traveling north on East Third Street when it struck a parked van owned by Rosalie A. Brainard of 409 E. Third Street, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage.
The vehicle then collided with a second parked van, also owned by Brainard, causing another $1,000 in estimated damage.
The Yost van continued north and turned east onto East I Street, where it struck a Chevy Camaro owned by Jeffrey M. Keen of 1205 W. First Street. The Camaro received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
After striking the Camaro the van traveled another block and came to a rest on the 500 block of East I Street.
