Administrators get 2 percent raise
McCOOK, Nebraska -- Administrators at McCook Public School will get a 2 percent increase in their base pay, contingent on individual performance.
The McCook School Board of Education voted unanimously Monday night at the regular meeting in favor of the 2 percent increase for the 2012-13 year, to be allocated at Superintendent Grant Norgaard's discretion.
Norgaard told the board he will meet with administrators over the summer to set specific goals.
This will include a long-term goal for each individual as well as targeted goals during the course of the year.
The long-term goal for each administrator will be difficult to achieve on one year, he said, but not impossible.
Base salaries are based on a number of factors, such as duration of employment, education degrees, responsibility factors and contracted days of work.
Salaries, which include insurance, for McCook Public Schools administrators, include:
Superintendent: $152,927
McCook Elementary Principal: $99,329
Business Manager: $108, 625
SPED Director (salary from both McCook Public Schools and ESU): $118,057
High School principal: $122,790
Junior High principal: $116,244
Activities Director: $89, 562
Psychologist: $92,718
The following salaries include teaching responsibilities as well as administrative:
High School Assistant Principal/LIFT Administrator: $91,780
Junior High Assistant Principal: (two positions) $91,446 and $57,940
Central Assistant Principal: (two positions) $81,076 and $57,296
Elementary Assistant Principal: (three positions): $67,370, $69,808 and $75,426
